Welcome

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of woodworking as a hobby and as an artform.The society began in 1988 and has since grown to over 74 members. Members meet for carving sessions every Wednesday from mid-September to mid-June from 6:30PM to 9:00 at the Hugh McRoberts Secondary School in Richmond, BC. Please feel free to drop in anytime for a community of carvers of all levels.

Join our vibrant community of woodcarvers! Whether you're a novice or a pro, we provide tools and guides to enhance your skills. We welcome new members of all ages and experience levels.

Soo Gee Ghet

This totem pole was designed by Tsimshian carver Victor H. Reece (1946-2010) for Cultural Week in1993. The work was completed under the artist’s supervision and mentorship with members of the Richmond Carvers Society and in 1994, the totem pole was donated to the Richmond Cultural Centre.
